My best friend is getting married!!
I love party planning. I've done family birthday parties and personal events, but this was my first time planning an event for someone outside of the Griño-LaBanca family. I'm so honored to be one of my best friend's Matrons-of-Honor and I had so much fun putting this shower together for her!

What's an event without Nothing Bundt Cakes? Jaime's sister and other Matron-of-Honor, Cait, picked up these delicious bundtinis. I thought they went great with the mimosa bar! (Virgin mimosa for pregnant me, of course. Basically just orange juice and fruit!)

Jaime and I met 13 years ago in high school gym class. As funny as it is to admit, we didn't like each other. I think I was jealous of how pretty she was (oh, high school problems), plus I was the new sophomore in town that transferred from a Chicago military academy! Our town was so small that everyone knew about the new Asian girl in our class. Luckily, Jaime and I have become best friends since then, and now we have a story to tell our children and grandchildren.

Something I'm super proud of from this shower was the backdrop. I worked for 2 months to create the perfect setup for Jaime's shower, collecting curtains, balloon arches, greenery and more. I had the help of our other best friend, Katrina, that whole time to finalize the best setup for Jaime's theme of greenery!
Also, look how adorable Jaime & Cait look! Sometimes I mistake them for twins!

Another detail I loved about Jaime's shower was a batch of these wedding dress cookies. Jaime's soon-to-be mother-in-law, Diann, has a friend who makes these. No two wedding dress cookies were the same! I was amazed at how intricate they were, from the patterns to the wrapping, everything about these adorable treats was perfect.
HUGE thank you to Diann for helping me plan Jaime's shower every step of the way! I couldn't have done this without you!

Jaime, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making me one of your Matrons-of-Honor. I'm so excited for your wedding and I'm still trying to find the words to say for my speech. My heart is racing just thinking about it!
Love always,
Gibby.
